The Model Town’s country festival has unveiled its musical line-up for next summer’s July 25-26th bash. Tourism and Special Events Coordinator Kelly Kraby says the Kap Kraze Saturday night concert features two artists who have been in the community before.
“The Road Hammers are headliners,” she said. “We find they fit perfectly with the Demolition Derby theme, the grit the country rock type of thing. We’re really excited about that and by the way The Road Hammers are fronted by Jason McCoy so most people know that artist he has been to Kap before (early 1990s).”
Ryan Langdon who performed at the Centre de Loisirs two years ago during the winter festival makes his return as the opening act.
The popular Demolition Derby and the Friday night tailgate are also part of the fun. Kraby says the event is growing every year with more than 3,800 people in attendance this past summer.
She adds the Friday night tailgate party was a great addition.
“Such a success,” she noted. “We didn’t know what to expect this past year in 2024 because it was our first time but boy are we glad that we added that component to Kap Kraze. It added a festive opening launch vibe to our event.”
Tickets are available now on Event Brite and after the Christmas and New Year’s holiday at the Kapuskasing Welcome Centre.
