There will be a special youth entrepreneur market this Friday from 4 to 7 pm at 149 Third Street West in Cochrane that’s being organized by the I Lash and Brow MediSpa. Marketing coordinator Kyla Bondy-Montgomery says their adult market has proven to be successful that they wanted to extend the opportunity to the kids.
“They often have great little business ideas especially during the holidays,” she said. “It would be a way for them to learn a little bit of extra money for whatever they want to do with it. So we’re excited to have that set up for this Friday.”
Bondy-Montgomery says there are different types of youth businesses ranging from homemade slime to selling popcorn.
She adds the normal farmers markets are very popular in the fall, but there isn’t an area for these small businesses to set up during the winter.
“You might see a few pop up here and there but the idea behind this new space that we’re creating here is to be able to offer a more regular opportunity for our small home based businesses,” she said.
