More information has been released on what the Special Investigations Unit is calling a custody death in Kapuskasing. Police say on Saturday night they were investigating a report of a missing person near Highway 11 and Bellentyne Road. The OPP says an officer approached a vehicle and found a man inside carrying what appeared to be a rifle. Police say they secured the area and called in an emergency response team and a crisis negotiator. The OPP says the man was found to be deceased around 8:30am on Sunday morning with a gunshot wound. Police and the SIU have not released the name of the deceased.
